Lucy's "boyfriend"

Here's a pic of Lucy's boyfriend. This was shortly before mating and you can see that there's only one thing on his mind!

2 weeks (ish) to go

Lucy is now pretty big! leaking milk all over the kitchen floor (lovely) and last night losing control of her bowels all over the kitchen floor (nice one Luce!).

Anyway, she's now acting pretty oddly at times; mooning around not wanting to be alone and whimpering at things like her food bowl!

She's now sleeping in her whelping box to get her used to the idea and, frankly, as novices at this we're starting to get more than a bit nervous.

This is Lucy when she was about 3 weeks along.

She's a typical black labrador and like most of the breed she lives for 3 things:

1. Food
2. More food
3. Even more food!

Actually that's not fair because she also likes going for walks and having her tummy rubbed.

Lucy is 4 years old and we got her when she was a puppy and she's been a fantastic family dog ever since. Apart from the time she chewed the phone cable off the wall, and when she used the kitchen floor as a giant litter tray, and when she tried to lick the guinea pigs to death,and..oooh I could go on for hours.
